The OV Publishing project is one of the numerous projects by Photography Organisation Organ Vida conducted throughout its yearly work in the field of contemporary photographic practice. OV publishing began in 2017, with the aim of making art projects more visible and accessible in the form of photo books of unique and thoughtful design as well as approach to the realization of contemporary photography books. The photobook Grad by artist Borko Vukosav is the first in a series of books published by OV publishing. Borko Vukosav, Roberta Bratović from the studio of O.A.Z.A., art historian Lea Vene and Marina Paulenka from the Organ Vida Photographic Association will participate in the promotion. The talk will continue on the theme of photographic books, which have come to life as the dominant media of dissemination of photographic works in the world. In Croatia, the publishing of photographic books is still in its early stages, so the focus will be on the goals of improving publishers’ requirements, the demands of the art and collector market, the collaborative work of photographers, designers, curators and mentors and the precarious way ahead of realizing a successful photographic book. The OV publishing project is supported by the City Office for Culture of the City of Zagreb.
